Biography:
After obtaining her undergraduate BA (Hons) in Sports Studies and completing the PGCE in Secondary Physical Education at Edge Hill University, Sarah taught Physical Education at St Mary’s Catholic High School in Tyldesley for several years. Sarah returned to Edge Hill to take up a lecturing post on the Physical Education and School Sport Degree in September 2007. Sarah has since obtained a MA Education and PG Cert in Teaching and Learning Support in HE.
Sarah is currently undertaking a PhD at Leeds Beckett University under the supervision of Professor Anne Flintoff, Dr Hayley Fitzgerald and Dr Melanie Lang. The research seeks to understand how teachers view and work with different types of ‘touch’ within their pedagogy. Outside of work, Sarah’s interests include participating and coaching
