Biography:
Gareth taught PE in schools within Sefton, Oxfordshire and Liverpool before his appointment as Head of Department at St Margaret’s High School in Liverpool. This provided opportunities to oversee a busy extra-curricular programme with local, regional and national success in a number of sports. In 1999 Gareth took on an extra role as Internal Coordinator for the school’s Gifted and Talented pupils as part of the Excellence in Cities initiative. Following his appointment at Edge Hill in 2006 Gareth assumed the role of University Football Coach for two years in addition to his normal teaching duties.
