Biography:

David joined the Department in September 2012 and is currently completing his PhD on university students’ sport and leisure careers. He has published peer-reviewed articles in the sociology of sport and inclusive physical education and continues to research this area in conjunction with his on-going work in the areas of youth sport, sport policy, and the sociology of youth and health. David is also Editorial Assistant of the International Journal of Sport Policy and Politics, part of the IDEALS research programme led by Dr Iain Lindsey, and a member of the Department’s Social Science of Sport Research Group.
